Pareidolia is a duo investigating the radical extremes of presence and absence: sonifying phenomenon which usually lie beyond the human threshold of perception, reconfiguring the relationship of instrument and performer in space, plucking spectral voices from the air.
Pareidolia is Marta Zapparoli and Liz Allbee.
Pareidolia is quadraphonic.
Marta works with antennas (some of them self-built), world-wide radio receivers, SDR, detectors, tapes.
Liz works with spatialized self-designed quadraphonic trumpet, voice and electronics.
